About the role

This is a hands‑on senior position combining civil design, project management and team leadership. We’re looking for a well-rounded engineer who can manage projects from feasibility through to delivery, staying close to technical outcomes while also overseeing program, budget and client expectations.

You’ll work directly with clients, coordinate internal and external resources and ensure projects are delivered to a high standard. A key part of the role is mentoring engineers and drafts people, reviewing work, and helping build a capable and confident team. You’ll also contribute to business development through client relationships and proposals.

This role will allow you to undertake technical design, oversee the technical work of others and to also manage projects and clients.

Required experience

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering
• Around 8+ years’ experience in civil design and project management (10+ years preferred) within an engineering consulting environment
• Strong knowledge of Australian standards and approvals
• Strong engineering design skills including 12d Model, Watercom Drains, AutoCad and similar industry standard design software packages;
• Confidence managing projects, budgets and client relationships
• A practical, leadership‑minded approach
• Experience with urban development and road infrastructure.
